Course Description

Financial Markets 4836: An examination of global financial markets, institutions, and instruments with emphasis on factors influencing how firms and individuals make financing and investing decisions. Advanced coverage of primary market financing, investment banking, stock and index options, financial futures.

Goals & Objectives of Course

Students will learn the economic, productive role of banking and non-banking financial institutions, markets, and instruments and their integrative nature at work in a global economy providing foreign and domestic corporations, governments, and households with the capital to finance their spending and investing decisions.
