Maag Library Reference Lab: Home

MAAG LIBRARY REFERENCE LAB

The Maag Library Reference Lab is located on the main floor of the library and is open each day until 15 minutes before the library closes.

  • The reference lab staff is trained primarily to help students and faculty with research. We can help with basic printing and computer issues, but please note that we are not IT techs and may not know how to use all software/internet programs.
  • The reference lab printer prints in black & white OR color on paper sizes 8.5x11, 14x16, and 11x17. You can print one-sided or duplex. The machine also scans and copies.
  • A black & white / 8.5x11 paper printer is available on the 3rd floor.
  • Printer/Scanner/Copier Instructions are posted at each printer.
  • To print, select Student_FindMe on comdoc02.ysu.local from list of printers. If you don't see this printer, you may need to add it. See Trouble Printing? box to the right.
  • At the printer, scan your YSU ID or press keyboard icon on screen to sign in with your portal username and password (same as YSU email) and select jobz(s) to print.
  • Student print jobs are held in the system for 1 hour only, then deleted.
  • If you need assistance or the printer needs paper, ask at the Reference Desk or call 330-941-3686.
  • For printing issues, see Trouble Printing? box to the right.
  • For in-depth technology questions, please contact the IT Service Desk.

DISCLAIMER: Maag Library and YSU are not responsible for printing, scanning, or copying errors. The equipment is for the use of YSU students, faculty, and staff only.

TROUBLE PRINTING? FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS:

PDFs must be downloaded to print. You can download and save to the desktop. They usually won't print from a browser.

Select this printer:
Student_FindMe on comdoc02.ysu.local

If the printer is not in the list, you can add a printer:

  • Right click on Start button (bottom left)
  • Settings icon
  • Devices
  • Printers & Scanners
  • Scroll down and select the printer listed above

If you still cannot print, you may have to move to another computer. The issue occurs randomly and is being looked into.
