Test Preparation Library Guide: NCLEX

What is the NCLEX?

The National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) is a standardized exam that each state board of nursing uses to determine whether or not a candidate is prepared for entry-level nursing practice.

There are two NCLEX exams: one for Registered Nurses (RN) and one for Practical Nurses (PN)
