Library of Congress Law Library: U.S. States & Territories: Link to individual state legislatures, laws & regulations
Ohio House of Representatives: In the Ohio General Assembly, each citizen is represented by a state representative and a state senator. The state is divided into 99 House districts and 33 Senate districts. State representatives listen to the concerns of their constituents and speak for them. They develop solutions to the needs of their districts through legislative action. State representatives work together, balancing the best interests of each state district.
Ohio Legislative Service Commission:
The Ohio Legislature: Prepared in 1802, Ohio's first constitution established three branches of government. The legislative branch of government, called the General Assembly, was composed of a House of Representatives and a Senate.
Ohio Senate: In the Ohio General Assembly, each citizen is represented by a state representative and a state senator. The state is divided into 99 House districts and 33 Senate districts. Thirty-three state senators are elected from legislative districts throughout the state of Ohio — each one represents approximately 330,000 people. The districts are redrawn every 10 years, following the completion of the national census.
